Description
This three-day, hands-on workshop is designed for Enterprise Connect administrators and developers/developers at heart looking to install, configure, and administer Enterprise Connect to allow users to access and interact with their Open Text applications and content within familiar desktop environments such as Windows Explorer, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office. Participants will learn the basics of Enterprise Connect, its pre-installation requirements, and how to set up the server and client components.
This workshop also includes an introduction to the Enterprise Connect SDK, lasting approximately one day. In this section of the workshop, participants will get an overview of the Enterprise Connect SDK and create a small, sample XML plug-in.
This session is geared to current and future Enterprise Connect administrators (with an interest in the Enterprise Connect SDK) who will be installing and configuring the Enterprise Connect server as well as supporting the Enterprise Connect clients. It also covers how to create business-centric views (using Enterprise Views Services) and has participants create their own sample views (i.e. tree structure).
