This course is intended for users who have been granted Content Server Business Administration privileges and will be managing several Content Server’s Administration pages including: Server and System Configuration, Best Bets, Perspectives, Collections, Recommender, Search Configuration, Facets and Columns, Uses/Group, Prospector Administration, Reminders, Records Management and Transport Warehouse features. Whether Content Server is on premises, hosted, or in the OpenText cloud, users will find the course essential to managing their system and an important introduction to Content Server Administration.
Highlights:
- Administer Server Configurations including: event auditing. item control. MIME types and categories, date triggers, access control, attribute value requirements, and the recycle bin
- Administer user name display, best bet settings, collection general settings, recommender general settings and components, and lastly, configure allowable prospector queries
- Creating facets, facet trees and column to view metadata throughout the system
- Creating Perspectives and applying them to folders and landing pages
- Administer Search including: mandatory search terms, result fields, and location modifiers
- Administer Users and Groups including: configure department selection, name display, and user tab permissions
- Administer Content Server Reminders
- Administer Records Management, Physical Objects, and Classifications
- Understand the Transport features including the Warehouse, Transport Packages and Transporting items
On completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe the and role and functionality available to a user assigned one or more Business Administration privileges
- Describe how to augment those BA privileges with Object and Creation Privileges
- Administer Server Configuration including: event auditing. item control. MIME types and categories, date triggers, access control, attribute value requirements, and recycle bin
- Expose metadata for browsing and viewing through configuration of facets and columns
- Customize the Smart View by creating and managing Perspectives
- Administer user name display, best bet settings, collection general settings, recommender general settings and components, and lastly, configure allowable prospector queries
- Administer Search including: mandatory search terms, result fields, and location modifiers
- Administer Users and Groups including: configure department selection, name display, and user tab permissions
- Administer Reminders
- Administer Records Management, Physical Objects, and Classifications
- Access the Transport Warehouse and Transport items from one system to another

- 1-0184 Managing Documents in Content Server and 1-0185 Collaborating in Content Server, or equivalent practical experience with Content Server
