Course Description:
This course begins with introducing students to the installation options, licensing and configuration of Content Server, OTDS, optional modules, language packs and multilingual metadata. It then goes into details on Classic UI options, advanced Widgets, Access Control, Database administration, Storage Provider, Object Exporter/Importer, XML export/import. It finishes with chapters on administering Search and configuring many options to help end users search for different types of content.
This course provides you with the knowledge and skills required to administer many aspects of Content Server. The focus of this course is on Content Server’s Administration pages, continuing from those covered in the 3-0189 Content Server Business Administration course.

- Manage Pulse and configure Notifications
- Perform basic Content Server database management from Administration pages
- Create and configure additional Storage Providers
- Export and import content using Object Importer/Exporter and XML Export/Import
- Understand the Indexing and Searching processes including the SOV, Admin Servers and Search Managers
- Configure Search Regions, use the Search Language (LQL) for complex searches
- Configure Search bars, create custom slices and manage advanced search options for end users
