Chadwick Westlake

Chadwick is OpenText Chief Financial Officer. He joined OpenText in March 2025. His responsibilities include investor relations, treasury, capital markets, core finance functions and strategic process improvement. Chadwick has deep expertise leading and supporting business transformation initiatives, strategic acquisitions and divestitures.

Prior to OpenText, Mr. Westlake was the Chief Financial Officer for EQB Inc., a publicly traded digital financial services leader and owner of Equitable Bank / EQ Bank, the 7th largest bank in Canada. In his time, Chadwick led corporate strategy and development, investor relations, treasury, capital markets, core finance, legal and other productivity efforts, EQB generated significant organic and inorganic growth, and total shareholder returns.

Chadwick has deep experience in finance and banking and previously held progressively senior roles at Scotiabank over more than 18 years where he earned a strong reputation for transformation leadership and driving business results. He was Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Banking & Global Wealth Management, and most recently as Executive Vice President, Enterprise Productivity and Canadian Banking Finance where he set the strategy and implementation of global initiatives to reduce costs, accelerate revenue growth, redesign and automate processes.

Chadwick holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, a BA degree in Economics and Management Studies from the University of Waterloo and completed an Executive Program with The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
