“Projects at TAIT are dependent on sharing large files, such as environmental reports, construction documents and plan sets with clients and agencies,” explained Lorie Wnorowski, assistant project manager at TAIT.
“Our company server has a 20MB file size limit, which is quite small for a developer to be able to share plan sets that are sometimes as large as 100MB,” said Wnorowski. “We needed a solution for large file sharing that was secure, fast and easy to use.”
TAIT experimented with mailing flash drives or CDs, using FTP sites and even a file hosting service but found that these solutions were manual, wasteful and unreliable. In addition, many of the companies TAIT works with are not able to utilize a file hosting service or FTP sites due to company security standards.
The firm found its solution in OpenText™ Hightail™, an easy-to-use, cloud-based application for simple, secure and efficient file sharing.
